Update File (OneDrive) activity

An activity that changes the name of a file in OneDrive.



Configure the Update File activity

To configure the Update File activity, do the procedure in this topic.

Good to Know

  • You must specify the file or file ID to change the name of a file.
  • In most text fields, you can use process data variables as an alternative to literal data values.

How to Start

  1. On the Organizer, do one of these:
  2. Do one of these:
    • Add an activity:
      1. In the Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the OneDrive tab.
      2. On the OneDrive tab, drag the Update File activity onto your process.
    • Change an activity:
      1. In your process, double-click your activity.

Procedure

  1. Complete the fields on the General Configuration screen.

    For more information, refer to Configure General Options for a System Activity.

  2. Click Update File .
  3. Configure the Update File activity options on the Update File in OneDrive Configuration screen.

  4. (Optional) Click Advanced > E-mail Notification .

    For more information, refer to Configure E-mail Notifications for Any Activity

Specifies the common information for a system activity.

One line of text that can have spaces.

Specifies an optional description for your activity.
Accepted Values:
More than one line of text.

Update File in OneDrive Configuration

Specifies the OneDrive file whose name to change.

Accepted Values:
A list of access tokens configured for your environment.

Add Token

Configures a new access token for Microsoft OneDrive.

File ID
Function:
Specifies the OneDrive file. The activity uses this file ID when the process runs.
Accepted Values:
  • Choose File Path - Specifies an absolute path for the file.
  • Dynamic File ID - Specifies a process variable that stores the ID of file.

File Name
Function:
Specifies the new name of the file.
Accepted Values:
One line of text that can have spaces.
Default Value:
None
Accepts Process Data Variables:
Yes

Store the Response in Custom Attribute or Schema - Description
Function:
Specifies an optional description for your file or folder.
Accepted Values:
More than one line of text.
Default Value:
None
Accepts Process Data Variables:
Yes

Store the Response in Custom Attribute
Function:
Specifies the process data variable that stores the file ID.

The file ID comes from OneDrive.

Accepted Values:
A process data variable.

None
