Create SharePoint List activity

An activity that creates a SharePoint list.



Configure the Create SharePoint List activity

To configure the Create SharePoint List activity, do the procedure in this topic.

How to Start

  1. On the Organizer, do one of these:

    • Add an activity:
      1. In the Process Builder, go to the Activity Library, and open the SharePoint tab.
      2. On the SharePoint tab, drag the Create SharePoint List activity onto your process.
    • Change an activity:
      1. In your process, double-click your activity.

Procedure

  1. Complete the fields on the General Configuration screen.

  2. Click Create SharePoint List Configuration .
  3. Configure Create Sharepoint List Configuration screen.

    For more information, refer to Create a SharePoint List.

  4. (Optional) Click Advanced > E-mail Notification .

    For more information, refer to Configure E-mail Notifications for Any Activity

General Configuration

Specifies the common information for a system activity.

Specifies the activity name that shows in your process.
Accepted Values:
One line of text that can have spaces.

Specifies an optional description for your activity.
Accepted Values:
More than one line of text.

Create SharePoint List Configuration

Specifies the settings for a new SharePoint list.

Specifies the access token that connects to your SharePoint site.
Accepted Values:
A list of access tokens configured for your environment.

Add Token

Opens this Screen:
New SharePoint Access Token
Function of this Screen:
Configures a new access token for SharePoint.

Site
Function:
Specifies the URL for your SharePoint site.
Accepted Values:
Default Value:
None

Yes
Example:

  • http://[machine name]:[port]/sites/[site name]

    You must include the /sites in the Site URL for the site to be created successfully.

List
Function:

Specifies the name of your SharePoint list.

Accepted Values:
The name of your SharePoint list.
Default Value:

List Type
Function:
Specifies the type of SharePoint list you want.
Accepted Values:
  • Announcements
  • Contacts
  • Custom List
  • Custom List in Datasheet View
  • Data Sources

  • Links
  • Picture Library
  • Survey
  • Tasks

Description
Function:
A description of your SharePoint list.
Accepted Values:
One line of text that can have spaces.
Default Value:
None
Accepts Process Data Variables:

Display on Quick Launch
Function:
Specifies if you want to include the SharePoint list in the Quick Launch menu.
Accepted Values:
  • Deselected - The list is not included in the Quick Launch menu.
  • Selected - The list is included in the Quick Launch menu.
Default Value:
Deselected

Column Name
Function:
Specifies the name of a custom SharePoint list column.
This option is available only when you select the Custom List option in the List Type field. Custom List is a built-in SharePoint list template.
Accepted Values:
One line of text with no spaces.
Default Value:
None
Accepts Process Data Variables:
Yes

Column Type
Function:
Specifies the column type for a custom SharePoint list column.
This option is available only when you select the Custom List option in the List Type field. Custom List is a built-in SharePoint list template.
Accepted Values:
  • Text
  • Calculated
  • Choice
  • Currency
  • Date Time
  • Lookup
  • Number
  • User
Default Value:
None

Column Description
Function:
The free text description of a custom SharePoint list column.
This option is available only when you select the Custom List option in the List Type field. Custom List is a built-in SharePoint list template.

One line of text.

Yes

Column Required
Function:
Specifies whether the custom SharePoint column is required.
This option is available only when you select the Custom List option in the List Type field. Custom List is a built-in SharePoint list template.
Accepted Values:
  • Deselected - The custom SharePoint column is not required.
  • Selected - The custom SharePoint column is mandatory.
Default Value:
Deselected

Add

Function:
Creates a row.

Remove

Function:
Deletes the row.
