Create Folder (Salesforce) activity

An activity that creates a folder in Salesforce.



Configure the Create Folder activity

To configure the Create Folder activity, do the procedure in this topic.

How to Start

  1. On the Organizer, do one of these:
  2. Do one of these:
    • Add an activity:
      1. In the Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the Salesforce tab.
      2. On the Salesforce tab, drag the Create Folder activity onto your process.
    • Change an activity:
      1. In your process, double-click your activity.

Procedure

  1. Complete the fields on the General Configuration screen.

  2. Click Create Folder .
  3. Complete the fields on the Create Folder Configuration screen.

    For more information, refer to Create a Folder in Salesforce.

  4. (Optional) Click Advanced > E-mail Notification .

    For more information, refer to Configure E-mail Notifications for Any Activity

General Configuration

Specifies the basic information for a CRM activity.

Display Name
Function:
Specifies the activity name that shows in your process.
Accepted Values:
One line of text that can have spaces.
Default Value:

Accepts Process Data Variables:

Description
Function:
Specifies an optional description for your activity.
Accepted Values:
More than one line of text.
Default Value:
None
Accepts Process Data Variables:
No

Connection Timeout (Seconds)
Function:
Specifies the number of seconds permitted to complete an action before the connection stops.
Accepted Values:
An integer that represents a number of seconds.
Default Value:
600
Accepts Process Data Variables:
No

Create Folder Configuration

Specifies the information for the new folder.

Function:
Specifies the access token that connects to your Salesforce application.
Accepted Values:
A list of access tokens configured for your environment.
Default Value:
None

Add Token

Opens this Screen:
New Salesforce Access Token
Function of this Screen:
Configures a new access token for Salesforce.

Folder Name
Function:
Specifies the name of a folder.
Accepted Values:
One line of text that can have spaces.
Default Value:
None
Accepts Process Data Variables:
Yes

Folder Unique Name
Function:
Specifies the unique name of a folder.
Accepted Values:
A valid unique name of a folder.

The name must start with a letter. You can use text with a letter, number, and underscore (_). The name cannot end with an underscore or have two underscores one after the other.

Default Value:
None
Accepts Process Data Variables:
Yes

Public Folder Access
Function:
Specifies the folder access rights.
Accepted Values:
  • ReadOnly - The Salesforce user can see the folder but cannot change the folder contents.
  • Read/Write - The Salesforce user can change the folder contents.
Default Value:
None
Accepts Process Data Variables:
Yes

Store the response Folder ID in Custom Attribute or Schema
Function:
Specifies the process data variable that contains the folder ID.
Accepted Values:
A process data variable.
Default Value:
None
Accepts Process Data Variables:
Yes
