Create Folder (Dropbox) activity

An activity that creates a folder in Dropbox.



Configure the Create Folder activity

To configure the Create Folder activity, do the procedure in this topic.

How to Start

  1. On the Organizer, do one of these:
  2. Do one of these:
    • Add an activity:
      1. In the Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the Dropbox tab.
      2. On the Dropbox tab, drag the Create Folder activity onto your process.
    • Change an activity:
      1. In your process, double-click your activity.

Procedure

  1. Complete the fields on the General Configuration screen.

  2. Click Create Folder .
  3. Complete the fields on the Create Folder Configuration screen.

    For more information, refer to Create a Folder in Dropbox.

  4. (Optional) Click Advanced > E-mail Notification .

    For more information, refer to Configure E-mail Notifications for Any Activity

General Configuration

Specifies the common information for a system activity.

Specifies the activity name that shows in your process.
Accepted Values:
One line of text that can have spaces.

Function:
Specifies an optional description for your activity.
Accepted Values:
More than one line of text.

Create Folder Configuration

Specifies the information for the new folder.

Dropbox
Function:
Specifies the access token that connects to your Dropbox application.
Accepted Values:
A list of access tokens configured for your environment.
Default Value:
None
Accepts Process Data Variables:
No

Add Token

Opens this Screen:
New Dropbox Access Token
Function of this Screen:
Configures a new access token for Dropbox.

Folder Name
Function:
Specifies the name of a folder.
Accepted Values:
One line of text that can have spaces.
Default Value:
None
Accepts Process Data Variables:
Yes

Parent Folder Path
Function:
Specifies the parent folder. The activity uses the path of the specified parent folder to create a subfolder when the process runs
Accepted Values:
  • Choose Folder Path - Specifies an absolute path for the folder.
  • Dynamic Folder Path - Specifies a process variable that stores the path of folder.
Default Value:
Choose Folder Path
Accepts Process Data Variables:
Yes

Overwrite Folder
Function:
Specifies if the activity overwrites the folder if it exists at the specified path.
Accepted Values:
  • Deselected - The activity does not overwrite a folder.
  • Selected - The activity overwrites the folder if it exists with the same name at the specified path.
Default Value:
Deselected

Store the Response in Custom Attribute or Schema
Function:
Specifies the process data variable that stores the new folder path.
Accepted Values:
A process data variable.
Default Value:
None
Accepts Process Data Variables:
Yes
