Prerequisites

Good to Know

  • You must specify the file or file ID to get the information of the file.
  • In most text fields, you can use process data variables as an alternative to literal data values.

How to Start

  1. On the Organizer, do one of these:

    • Add an activity:
      1. In the Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the Box tab.
      2. On the Box tab, drag the Get Folder Info activity onto your process.
    • Change an activity:
      1. In your process, double-click your activity.
  3. Click Get File Info .

Procedure

  1. On the Get File in Box Configuration screen, in the Box field, select your Box access token.

    To create a new access token, click New Box Access Token.

  2. Complete this field as necessary.
    Field Name Definition

    File ID

    Function:
    Specifies the Box file. The activity uses this file ID when the process runs.
    Accepted Values:
    • Choose File ID - Specifies an absolute path for the file.
    • Dynamic File ID - Specifies a process variable that stores the ID of file.
    Default Value:
    None.
    Accepts Process Data Variables:
    No
  3. To connect the response to a process data variable, complete this field as necessary.
    Field Name Definition

    Store the Response in Custom Attribute or Schema - File ID

    Function:
    Specifies the process data variable that stores the file ID.

    The file ID comes from Box.

    Accepted Values:
    A process data variable.
    Default Value:
    None
    Accepts Process Data Variables:
    Yes
  4. (Optional) To connect the response to a process data variable, complete these fields as necessary.

    Function:
    Specifies the process data variable that stores the name of the file.

    Function:
    Specifies the process data variable that stores the download link of the file.
    Accepted Values:
    A process data variable.

    Function:
    Specifies an optional description for your file or folder.
    Accepted Values:
    More than one line of text.
    Default Value:
    None
