Convert Entities in Dynamics CRM

To convert Kit to Product, Product to Kit, Quote to Sales Order, or Sales Order to Invoice, do the procedure in this topic.

How to Start

  1. On the Organizer, do one of these:

    • Add an activity:
      1. In the Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the Dynamics CRM tab.
      2. On the Dynamics CRM tab, drag the Converter activity onto your process.
    • Change an activity:
      1. In your process, double-click your activity.
  3. On the Converter Configuration screen, click Converter .

Procedure

  1. On the Converter Configuration screen, in the Dynamics CRM field, select your Dynamics CRM access token.

    To create a new access token, click Add Token . For more information, refer to New Dynamics CRM Access Token.

  2. Complete these fields as necessary.
    Field Name Definition

    Entity ID

    Function:
    Specifies the Dynamics CRM entity ID.
    Accepted Values:
    A valid Dynamics CRM entity ID.
    Default Value:
    None
    Accepts Process Data Variables:
    Yes

    Conversion Type

    Function:
    Specifies the type of conversion from the list..
    Accepted Values:
    • Product To Kit.
    • Kit To Product.
    • Quote To Sales Order.
    • Sales Order To Invoice.

  3. (Optional) To store the new convert ID in a process data variable, add the variable from the Process Data screen to the field Store New Convert ID in Custom Attribute or Schema.

    Function:
    Specifies the process data variable that contains the convert ID.
    Accepted Values:
    A process data variable.

    You can use Process Data screen to specify a process data variable.
