How to Start

  1. On the Organizer, do one of these:

    • Add an activity:
      1. In the Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the Salesforce tab.
      2. On the Salesforce tab, drag the Change Ownership (Salesforce) activity onto your process.
    • Change an activity:
      1. In your process, double-click your activity.
  3. On the Change Entity Ownership Configuration screen, click Change Ownership .

Procedure

  1. On the Change Entity Ownership Configuration screen, in the Salesforce field, select your Salesforce access token.

    To create a new access token, click Add Token . For more information, refer to New Salesforce Access Token.

  2. Complete these fields as necessary.
    Field Name Definition

    Entity Name

    Function:
    Specifies the name for your entity.
    Accepted Values:
    One line of text that can have spaces.
    Default Value:
    None

    When you select the Salesforce access token, the name of the entity shows in the Entity Name field.

    Accepts Process Data Variables:
    No

    Entity ID

    Function:
    Specifies the Salesforce entity ID.
    Accepted Values:
    A valid Salesforce entity ID.
    Default Value:
    None
    Accepts Process Data Variables:
    Yes
  3. In the Select Entity New Owner list, select your new owner.

    When you select the new owner, the new owner ID shows in the New Owner ID field.

  4. (Optional) To store the entity ID as a process data variable, add the variable from the Process Variables screen to the field Store the Response Entity ID in Custom Attribute or Schema.

    Specifies the process data variable that contains the entity ID.

    A process data variable.
